Use of any of the association “common grounds” are at your own risk.
COMMON GROUNDS (Beach, Boat-docks, Boat-ramps, Bathhouse, Campground, Dam, Roadways)
- Are for the use of all Association members in “good standing”.
- It is your responsibility to keep these areas clean.
- Open fires on common ground are allowed only in designated areas at the pavilion and campground. No unattended fires are allowed at any time. NO FIRES ARE ALLOWED ON THE PINNACLE. (class 2)
- No parking or driving on beach or picnic area.
- Pets are NOT permitted at the pavilion, on the beach, picnic area or swimming area. (class 3)
- Beach and picnic areas are CLOSED from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. (class 3)
- No glass containers are allowed in the picnic area, on the beach, at the pavilion or volleyball areas. (class 2)
- An adult lot owner must supervise all picnics and/or parties on common grounds. (class 3)
- STATE LAWS will be observed regarding drinking of intoxicating beverages by minors. (class 2)
TRASH DUMPSTERS are provided for Association members only at the boat-dock and picnic area. They are for normal trashonly and are NOT to be used for tires or car parts of any kind, batteries other than household type, hazardous waste, concrete or bricks, thick or heavy metal items, all appliances including TV’s, furniture, boats, lawn mowers, lawn chairs, BBQ pits, fluid drums of any size, ETC. Trash must be put in the dumpsters. Drivers will not pick up scattered waste. (class 3)
BOATS AND MOTORS
- Completed Registration Request Form is required prior to use.
- Title must be in the name of the person whose name appears on the deed to the property and is identified as the primary lot owner.
- Must display current PLE PERMIT sticker and current state registration. (class 3)
- Maximum of 2 boats and 2 gas motors.
- Maximum size 55 HP may be registered per primary lot. (class 2)
- Must have in effect the minimum liability insurance required by the State of Missouri.
BOATING
- Observe rules for safe boating as described in the MISSOURI WATERCRAFT MANUAL. For example: Sailboats have the right-of-way. Operator shall abide by Missouri law when operating watercraft. (class 2)
- Speed limit of 5 MPH will be observed in cove areas marked by “NO WAKE” buoys. (class 3)
- Movement shall be counter-clockwise around the Pinnacle and all islands. KEEP THE ROCK TO YOUR LEFT. (class 2)
- Must have in effect the minimum liability insurance required by the State of Missouri.
WATERSKING
- Allowed on the main section of the lake ONLY. Do not ski past the ‘NO WAKE” buoys. (class 3)
- No skiing within 150 feet of the main boat docks and swimming dock. (class 2)
- Use good judgment when skiing near private docks, swimmers and small watercraft.
- Observe for safety as described in the MISSOURI WATERCRAFT MANUAL.
- Movement shall be counter-clockwise around the Pinnacle at all times. KEEP THE ROCK TO YOUR LEFT. (class 2)
PERSONAL WATERCRAFT
- Registration Request Form is required prior to use.
- Title must be in the name of the person whose name appears on the deed to the property and is identified as the primary lot owner.
- Must display current PLE PERMIT sticker. (class 3)
- Will replace 1 motor allowance.
- ENGINE HORSEPOWER must NOT exceed 55 HP – Note: this may not be the HP rated on the title. Proof of engine horsepower is required for all personal watercraft. Check with the manufacturer for a copy of the manufacturer’s specifications before purchase to ensure being able to operate at PLE. (class 2)
- Must be equipped with a KILL SWITCH to shut off the motor when the rider falls off. VIOLATION of this rule will result in restriction from the lake and cancellation of registration of the watercraft. (class 1)
- Observe rules for safe boating as described in the MISSOURI WATERCRAFT MANUAL.
- Speed limit of 5 MPH will be observed in cove areas marked by “NO WAKE” buoys. (class 3)

HUNTING
- No use of firearms, whether for hunting, target shooting or otherwise within all boundaries of PLE. (class 1)
- BB guns and air rifles are to be treated as true firearms. (class 1)
MINI-BIKES, 3 & 4 WHEELERS, GOLF CARTS & MOTORIZED LAND VEHICLES
- Registration Request Form is required prior to use.
- Must display current PLE PERMIT sticker. (class 3)
- 7’ flag attach to land vehicles. (class 2)
- If applicable, title must be in the name of the person whose name appears on the deed to the property and is identified as the primary lot owner.
- Must have spark arresters, proper mufflers. (class 3)
- Proper headlight(s) and tail light(s) as per MO State Law. (class 2)
- Allowed on main roads only. Some roads within the Association are private.
- All not allowed on private property other than your own without the WRITTEN consent of the lot owner. (class 2)
- Not allowed on the beach, picnic area or on the front or back face of the dam. (class 1)
- Please observe a 17 MPH speed limit. Reduce speed in congested areas.
- Operator shall abide by Missouri law when operating the vehicle.
- Are to be operated in a safe and courteous manner.
- Must have in effect the minimum liability insurance required by the State of Missouri.
FISHING
- All persons fishing at Pinnacle Lake are subject to Missouri Conservation Laws.
- You must have a current fishing license. A Conservation Agent patrols Pinnacle Lake.
- Size limits as laid out in “WILDLIFE CODE OF MISSOURI” shall be observed. (Available where fishing permits are sold.)
- No trotline, jug or limb fishing is allowed. (class 2)
- No fishing from the swimming dock or in the swimming area. (class 2)
- Shore or bank fishing is allowed on common ground shoreline, main boat docks or on your own lake front property. DO NOT TRESPASS on private lots
CAMPING
- Registration Request Form for camping trailers, pop-ups or RV’s is required prior to use.
- Title must be in the name of the person whose name appears on the deed to the property and is identified as the primary lot owner.
- Must display current PLE PERMIT sticker. (class 3)
- Allowed on your own property or in designated camping areas.
- Camping is on a temporary basis only. No permanent camping is allowed.
- Tents and pop-up trailers must be folded and lowered when not in use.
- Limit of 1 such vehicle per lot.
- Camping on private lots must be a minimum of 10 feet inside property lines.
GUESTS
- Must obey all rules and regulations of Pinnacle Lake Estates.
- Guest Campers are not allowed. (class 3)
MISCELLANEOUS
- Cutting of trees is allowed only on your own property or with WRITTEN permission of the lot owner. (class 2)
- Please observe and obey all signs including NO PARKING within the boat launch area.
All rules not otherwise stated are a class 4 violation.
Please note that the Board of Trustees of Pinnacle Lake Association are authorized by the By-Laws and the Covenants, Restrictions and Trusteeship to Pinnacle Lake Estates to establish and enforce the Recreation Rules and Regulations for the use of the recreational facilities, the lake and recreational vehicles. This listing of specific violations may not be all inclusive. These Recreation Rules & Regulations may be revised as deemed necessary at the sole discretion of the Board of Trustees. Please familiarize yourself with the By-Laws and Covenants of PLE. Copies can be obtained from the Office or any Board member.
